Group Classes Sunshine Coast

Exercising in a group setting is an excellent way to improve your health and fitness while enjoying the support and motivation of others.

MyEP offers a variety of group classes throughout the Sunshine Coast, which are all led by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist. The classes are a mixture of free weight, machine based and cardiovascular exercises. The client is shown tolerable ways to exercise and are given tailored programs to complete at home.

General Classes

Exercise is crucial for general fitness as it strengthens the body, builds endurance, and improves overall health. It takes weight off joints and allows better range of motion of limbs. This class is designed to help clients with any muscular or bone discomfort such as Arthritis.

Bone Strengthening

These classes are designed to help with bone strengthening by stimulating the growth and development of bone tissue. Weight-bearing exercises such as running, jumping, and weightlifting help to promote the formation of new bone tissue, making bones stronger and denser. Exercise also helps to improve bone mineral density, which can decrease the risk of fractures and osteoporosis. When bones are subjected to the stress of exercise, they respond by increasing their density and strength, much like how muscles grow and strengthen with exercise.

Additionally, regular exercise can help to improve balance and coordination, reducing the risk of falls and fractures, especially in older adults.
